University to host 22nd annual Student Leadership and Diversity
Conference Feb. 2
The 22nd annual Student Leadership and Diversity Conference will be
9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday,
Feb. 2, 2008 at the University of South Carolina Columbia’s Russell
House University Union.
The conference, titled “Making Your Mark,” will feature former
Gamecock and NBA star Terry Dozier as the breakfast keynote speaker
and Vernon Wall, an author and student affairs practitioner, as
the lunch keynote speaker.
The conference will include sessions on a variety of topics,
including “Making the Most of Your Leadership Experience in
College,” “Appreciating Multiculturalism” and “Understanding Your
Personal Leadership Style.”
Nearly 400 students from colleges and universities in South
Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia are expected to attend. Faculty
and staff from USC Columbia and other campuses are encouraged to
submit presentation proposals.
The conference fee is $20 for USC Columbia students, faculty and
staff and $30 for all other
participants. The fee includes a continental breakfast, lunch and
all conference materials.
