Meetings For Fall 2007
Mission Statement:
The mission of the University of South
Carolina’s Substance Abuse Prevention and Education Programs Action Committee is to assess
campus prevention, policy, treatment, intervention, and
enforcement efforts pertaining to alcohol, other drug use, and
associated high-risk behaviors of students. The collective group
of USC students, faculty, staff, and community partners will
serve as a collaborative body for formulating, implementing, and
advocating change to improve student health and well being
regarding the use non-use of alcohol and other drugs and prevent
associated high-risk behaviors.
Goals
●
To enhance
student knowledge with regard to current campus, state, and
national alcohol and other drug use trends, issues, concerns,
and consequences.

enhance student knowledge with regard to current campus, state,
and national trends, issues, concerns, and consequences
regarding high-risk behaviors associated with alcohol and other
drug use.
●
To improve
alcohol and other drug prevention programming, counseling
services, environmental components, judicial processes, and
prevention programming of high-risk behaviors associated with
substance use through collaboration and sharing of strategies
and best practices from an interdisciplinary perspective.
●
To discuss
current campus research and assessment findings related to
alcohol and other drug use and consider the impact of these
findings on campus strategies.

efforts with campus and off-campus partners to increase

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The EAP is a program for employees who need help solving
personal or work-related problems. The University offers an
Employee Assistance Program for employees going through
recurring annoyances to life changing crises, the difficulties
that affect our personal lives every now and then. Please check
