 Larrell
Wilkinson is the Director of Substance Abuse Prevention and Education Programs at the
University of South Carolina. Prior to serving as Director,
Larrell served as Coordinator of Substance Abuse Prevention and Education Programs .
Before serving in A & D Programs, he served as a Project
Coordinator for USC Health & Wellness Programs. Mr. Wilkinson
has also worked at the National Immunization Program of the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, served as a
Residence Counselor for USC’s Upward Bound Program and an
advisor for several student organizations.
Mr. Wilkinson
is largely responsible for heading the USC Substance Abuse Task
Force, providing substance-free programming for USC students,
educating students about the risk and consequences of alcohol
and other drug use through presentations for the nationally
recognized first-year student program University 101 (U101) and
other group programming, advising the alcohol and other drug
prevention peer leader group (GAMMA), working with campus and
community partners to prevent college substance misuse, and help
ensure a safe environment for USC students.
Larrell earned
his Bachelor of Science - Biology from Tennessee State
University in 2000 and received a Master of Science in Public
Health from the University of South Carolina in 2005.
Aaron Olson

Aaron Olson joined the
South Carolina family in August of 2006. He anticipates many
exciting opportunities and challenges in his new position as
Program Advisor for Substance Abuse Prevention and Education.
Aaron found his way to USC via Ball State University where he
was the Assistant Director of Recreation Services and Sports
Facilities for three years. He received his Master's of Science
in Recreational Sport Administration from Indiana University. He
earned his Bachelor's degree at the University of Minnesota,
majoring in Psychology.
His experiences with students, event planning and management
have prepared Aaron for the transition he will face while
working for the Department of Student Life at USC.
During his free time Aaron enjoys golf, good food, and
spending time with friends. Come by and meet Aaron in his new
office inside the West Wing of the Russell House.
Marguerite Drayton

Marguerite Drayton is the
Administrative Assistant for both Substance Abuse Prevention and Education and
the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs. She has worked in
this same capacity for approx. 15 years. Ironically, her prior
employment was at LRADAC, the Behavioral Health Center of the
Midlands which is an Alcohol and Drug abuse facility. Her goals
are to take advantage of the wonderful opportunities here, while
serving USC students to preserve and promote their well-being.
