Open House/Information Meeting

When: Friday, November 22nd, 2013 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm

Program: We have a 50 minute program, followed by a social reception from 5:00 to 7:00. During the reception you will meet current students, mentors, faculty, and other applicants. If you can only attend the later part of the open house, we can answer your questions during the social reception.
The CarolinaLIFE™ Program welcomes you to the University of South Carolina! This is a new, innovative, two-to-four year, post-secondary program for students with intellectual or cognitive disabilities. We offer students with intellectual or cognitive disabilities the opportunity to experience college life through inclusive participation in academic, social, employment, and independent living activities. Our program is based on the needs, interests, and preferences of our students.
The mission of the CarolinaLIFE™ Program is to facilitate high achievement of diverse learners in the areas of personal independence, self-sufficiency, and empowerment through inclusive teaching, research, creative activity, and services.
CarolinaLIFE™ at the University of South Carolina is one of the nation’s first Comprehensive Transition and Postsecondary Programs. Our students are NOW ELIGIBLE to participate in the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Work-Study (FWS), and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG) programs.
