BIG man little MAN Program

We are looking for a few good men!

*This program is a new initiative that is scheduled to begin in September, 2006*

Community Service Programs is recruiting male college students to work with local youth in the Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands, the Boy Scouts of America (Indian Rivers Council) Columbia Inner City Scouting Program, and the Big Brother Big Sister Program of Greater Columbia.  These three agencies are overwhelmed with the number of African American male children who have no role model or mentor in the Columbia community. The beauty of the BIG man little MAN Program is that volunteers can choose from one of three agencies, which best fits their needs, availability and interests. Then, agency staff will guide participants the rest of the way in becoming a role model and mentor to area youth. To find out more about how to get involved in this new initiative contact Clay Bolton at 777-7130 or by e-mail at boltonb@mailbox.sc.edu.
