Non-Profit Protégé Program |
Seven University of South Carolina students are current
participants in the 2008 Non-Profit Protégé Program. Community
Service Programs offers this program in conjunction with the
United Way of the Midlands. These top notch upper class students
were matched to work with one of seven organization leaders from
the Babcock Center, City Year Columbia, Habitat for Humanity,
Harvest Hope Food Bank, Leukemia – Lymphoma Society, Salvation
Army, and United Way of the Midlands. Throughout the spring
semester, Non-Profit Protégés arrange weekly meetings with their
mentor. Participants have opportunities to attend board
meetings; experience staff and committee meetings; visit with
potential financial donors; and witness the action packed world
of being a non-profit leader.
