How to Join
There are 3 different membership recruitment processes that exist in order for fraternities and sororities to take in new members. For more information on these processes and all of our chapters, check out the 2011 Guide to Carolina Fraternities and Sororities.
1. Sorority Recruitment
The 10 sororities that are members of the National Panhellenic Conference participate in sorority recruitment, which gives potential new members a chance to visit with each chapter and follows a structured schedule of events. For more information, visit www.uofscsoco.com.
2. Fraternity Recruitment
The 18 fraternities that are members of the North American Interfraternity Conference participate in fraternity recruitment, which occurs during the week following move-in day. For more information, visit http://www.sa.sc.edu/fsl/fraternity/.
3. Membership Intake
The 8 National Pan-Hellenic Council fraternities and sororities, as well as the 2 multicultural Greek organizations, participate in membership intake, which is organized by the individual chapters. For more information, visit http://www.sa.sc.edu/fsl/membership-intake/.
