Please join us for The Healthy Carolina Farmers Market beginning at 9:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. on Greene Street,
between the gates, outside Russell House.
Special Events for the spring season include:
Tuesday, March 18th:
Kick Butts Day. Handouts will be provided on tobacco cessation, the benefits of quitting smoking and CTTP in preparation for Kick Butts day on the 19th.
Tuesday, March 25th:
National Nutrition Month. March is National Nutrition month. The dieticians will be out at the farmers market celebrating this month with samples and fun nutrition games for students to participate in.
Tuesday, April 1st:
Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. Stand Up Carolina will be presenting their clothesline project! A live t-shirt painting session will be taking place in order to emphasize the importance of consent, acknowledge accountable bystanders, and raise awareness about sexual assault.
Tuesday, April 8th:
Rethink Your Drink!/National Public Health Week: Please stop by the Arnold School of Public Health Table at the Farmers Market to learn about the blood marrow donation event that will be held on April 9th. Then make your way over to the Healthy Carolina Table to learn about rethinking your drink! .
Tuesday, April 15th:
Pet Therapy at the Healthy Carolina Farmers Market. Cocky’s Canine PAALs will be attending the market in order to relieve stress. These pups need lots of attention, and will up your mood in an instant! Don’t miss it! Follow our Facebook, emails and Twitter to find out what time.
Tuesday, April 22nd:
Farmers Market Appreciation Day. Come out to the Healthy Carolina table to share your favorite thing about the farmers market. Since April is also national humor month, we will be having a contest for the best joke! Enter for a chance to win a prize!
