Healthy Carolina uses Healthy Campus 2020 to provide the framework for improving the overall health status on our campus. Healthy Campus 2020 includes national health objectives for students, faculty and staff. These objectives provide our coalition of councils with a framework from which to develop a strategic plan to affect the health behaviors of our community members.
Healthy Campus 2020 also promotes an action model that uses the socio ecological approach towards implementing a healthy campus environment. This approach is called MAP-IT (Mobilize, Assess, Plan, Implement and Track) framework.
The tools and resources provided by Healthy Campus 2020 help us determine which objectives are relevant, achievable, and a priority on our campus. For more information visit the Healthy Campus 2020 website.
