Tobacco use is the single most avoidable cause of disease, disability, and death in the U.S., causing over 440,000 deaths each year. Not only does tobacco use tarnish quality of life, but it’s expensive too--- half-pack-a-day smokers will spend over $3,276 on cigarettes in 4 years of college alone!

The university of South Carolina’s Healthy Carolina has partnered up with Tobacco-Free Kids to promote  national “Kick Butts Day”. The informational event will continue to raise awareness about the harm of tobacco use, as well as bring attention to the current USC tobacco policy that was developed to protect USC students, faculty, staff, and visitors from the dangers of second-hand smoke.

Kick Butts Day is on Wednesday, March 21, 2012

10:00 AM- 1:00 PM on Davis Field (Outside of the Russell House)
