Interfaith Initiatives at the University of South Carolina connects students, faculty and staff members with opportunities for discussion, service and engagement in positive interfaith activities.
We are in the second year of our participation in The President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge, a program sponsored by The White House to encourage interfaith cooperation and community service.
Look here for opportunities to serve, talk, and engage with members of our community from diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds.
We work with student organizations, campus partners, and local and statewide groups to inform the University of South Carolina and others about the many opportunities to participate in significant educational and service activities with an interfaith focus.
Interfaith Partners of South Carolina, a university affiliate organization with ties to the Department of Religious Studies, works through a memorandum of understanding with the University to provide educational programs, workshops, seminars, discussion groups, and conferences to address furthering the goals of religious literacy, interfaith dialogue and mutual respect. We will be listing those opportunities here and on our event calendar.
If you are interested in community service with an interfaith flavor or have an idea for an educational program, seminar or other event that will inform our community and encourage dialogue among members of our diverse University community, please be in touch: firstname.lastname@example.org.
