FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT US 1. Where is the
International Programs for Students office on campus?
We are located in the Byrnes Building, Suite 123, at the
corner of College and Sumter Streets (across the street from the
USC Historic Horseshoe).
2. What hours is your office open?
We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30a.m. to
5:00p.m..
3. Do I need an appointment?
Yes. You do need an appointment to see an international
student advisor. Our appointment times are Tuesday through
Friday from 9:00am to 4:30pm.
4. How do I make an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment by stopping by our office or
calling 777-7461. We do not accept e-mail requests. Same day
appointments are not available.
5. What if I just have a simple question? Do I still need an
appointment?
Immigration questions can be e-mailed to
intlprog@sc.edu . This e-mail is checked throughout the
day. Our advisors will respond to you as quickly as possible.
Please include your full name in the message.
6. How do I update my current information?
Addresses and contact information should be updated in VIP
if you are a current student. Immigration information updates
should be brought to the Office of International Programs.
Students on OPT should send updated information to
intlprog@sc.edu
7. What is INTLNEWS?
INTLNEWS is an electronic newsletter sent to all current USC
international students. The newsletter contains a wide variety
of helpful immigration information and details on upcoming
events.
When you first arrive on campus and report to our office, we
collect your contact information – including your e-mail
address. We then add your e-mail address to our INTLNEWS
listserv.
8. I checked in, but I’m still not receiving messages from
INTLNEWS. What is wrong?
If your e-mail system filters out unknown addresses, make
sure to add
saintlnw@mailbox.sc.edu to your address book so that you can
receive our messages.
9. I have changed my e-mail address, how do I get my new
address added to the Intlnews list?
e-mail the INTLNEWS moderator at:
saintlnw@mailbox.sc.edu and request to be added to the list.
Please include your full name in your message.
10. I do not want to receive messages from INTLNEWS. Can I
unsubscribe?
All current USC international students are required to
subscribe to INTLNEWSs. When you are no longer enrolled at USC,
you can request to be taken off the list. |
