Student Spotlight
Abdullah Al-Bahri came here from Oman and is majoring in English. He says, "When I first came to the US, I wanted to learn the language and the culture of the country. The idea of living in a dorm came to my mind when I was about to get admission to USC and I finally decided to live in Preston College. So far my experience in Preston College is great. It was kind of difficult at first because I didn’t have any friends in the whole dorm and it took me a while to adapt to the new lifestyle. The only people I knew were the people in charge of the dorm and they were all very nice. The most difficult time for me was when I had to go to Preston dining for dinner. I saw every one going in groups and sitting with their friends at the tables while I was looking randomly for anyone familiar. However, I started to make friends in my second or third week in Preston. Now, I know many people in Preston and feel that I am successfully involved in Preston community and I enjoy my time much better than before."
