The off-campus housing locator is a website for students to search for potential off-campus rentals. The site includes apartments, houses, and rooms for rent. The site does not include every available rental in Columbia as it is up to landlords to add their properties for students to view.
How to log in:
Students log in using your Network ID. This is different than the VIP ID. The Network ID is the same username and password that is used for USC email and Blackboard. All admitted students will need to create this password after creating their VIP ID password on the my.sc.edu website.
Step 1: Set VIP ID password. VIP ID should be on your acceptance letter received via mail.
Step 2: Set USC Network Username/Email Password. This is the login information used for the housing locator.
Apartment/Condo Communities Near Campus
Amenity Chart | Print a PDF– This amenity chart will breakdown the communities where the majority of our students live. Their inclusion does not imply a recommendation from the University rather these are the larger apartment communities that are marketed towards the student population. Please verify the accuracy of this with each property as their amenities can change.
Off-Campus Living Guide – information on the search process and what it’s like to be an off-campus student at USC.
Can we refer you to a property? – OCSS does not provide students with referrals to specific properties. We are here to assist you with using the site, to clarify information when possible, and provide additional information about living off campus. Once we know what you are looking for, we may be able to help you make an informed and educated decision.

The University expressly disclaims any and all responsibility for any problems that may arise with regard to such property or rental units or with regard to disputes between landlords and tenants concerning such property or rental units.
