ATTENTION:
If you are a returning counselor and have completed your one-on-one with Melissia Brannen, please make your interest known via email to Leon Thomas at ThomasLC@mailbox.sc.edu. You will only need to submit an application and grade check.  All others who will be counselors for the first time or that did not complete a one-on-one will need to complete all steps of the application and submit by March 7, 2008.

The application process consists of the following:

1. Completing the application

Along with your application you must also secure a faculty or staff recommendation and a peer recommendation.  Please type on the application, print it out, print out the Minority Assistance Peer Applicant’s Recommendation Form (University Faculty/Staff) and Minority Assistance Peer Applicant’s Recommendation Form (M.A.P.P. Counselor/Peer) and get the corresponding people to fill those out.

3. Going to www.vip.sc.edu and get a record of your grades (unofficial transcript). Once secured, deliver the complete application and recommendations to Melissia Brannen in the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, Russell House 115.

4. Returning the application to the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, Russell House University Union, Suite 115. You must sign up for an interview when turning in your application.

5. Attend the interview session
