A development program sponsored
by the Office of Parents Programs, the Parents
Annual Fund raises money that directly benefits
University of South Carolina students. All parents
of current students are contacted each year and are
encouraged to participate.
The Parents Annual Fund was
created to offer parents an opportunity to enrich
the lives of all Carolina students through private
giving. Many parents express a desire to
demonstrate their support and appreciation for the
University chosen by their students and to increase
their involvement in the life of Carolina.
The Parents Annual Fund
benefits the Carolina community by sponsoring
programs and services that directly impact South
Carolina students. Past projects have included
renovations to the Russell House University Union,
enhancements to Career Center technology and lights
for the intramural fields at the Strom Thurmond
Wellness and Fitness Center. The Parents Annual Fund
is currently funding an initiative called
Dinner
Dialogues.
Dinner
Dialogues
started in fall 2006 with the goal of enhancing the
interaction between faculty members and their
undergraduate students. This experience provides an
opportunity for discussion beyond the classroom in
an informal, comfortable, fun and unique setting.
Students and professors can discuss academic and
current issues, potentially establishing a mentoring
relationship that would assist in the students’
personal, career and professional growth. With
assistance from your donation to the Parents Annual
Fund, your students have the opportunity to build a
relationship with their professors.
The Office of Parents Programs
can always use a donation of your time! When filling
