Division Recognition & Awards
The purpose of the Division Awards is to recognize employees at various levels of responsibility in all Departments within the Division who consistently contribute in positive ways to the mission of the Division of Student Affairs & Academic Support while providing high quality service to students, parents or Carolina community members. All awards will be coordinated by the Professional Development Team, and they will be presented at the Division’s Annual Recognition Event.

Award Categories
Exemplary Service to Carolina Community Award: Recognizes the division’s most exceptional employees who consistently go beyond the call of duty to make a difference in the Carolina Community. Up to 3 recipients may be selected for this award. Click here for award criteria and nomination form.
Outstanding Service to Students Award: Recognizes the contributions of employees who continuously demonstrate dedication to our mission through positive influences on student learning and engagement. Employees who have exhibited this type of behavior in a habitual manner will be the most deserving candidates. Up to 5 recipients may be selected for this award. NEW AWARD – Continuing Excellence Award (1-5 years experience): Recognizes an employee who has been at the institution for the respective time period and contributed to the success of their organization through their use of personal initiative, analytical and critical thinking skills and problem-solving capability. New Staff Member of the Year Award – New Professional (1-5 years experience): Recognizes an employee who has made an impact at Carolina during their first year of service to the Division. This recipient must have joined the Division after April 2011 and be a new professional in the realm of student affairs, with only 1 to 5 years of professional experience. New Staff Member of the Year Award – Mid to Senior Level Professional (5+ years experience): Recognizes an employee who has made an impact at Carolina during their first year of service to the Division. This recipient must have joined the Division after April 2011 and be a mid to senior level professional in the realm of student affairs, with 5+ years of professional experience. Graduate Assistant of the Year Award: Recognizes a Graduate Assistant in the Division that has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make a substantial impact on USC’s campus. Up to 2 recipients may be selected for this award. Click here for award criteria and nomination form.
Faculty Partner Award: Recognizes a member of the USC faculty who has demonstrated significant support for the Division, the Division’s programs/services, and the overall quality of campus life. There will be 1 recipient for this award. Click here for award criteria and nomination form.
