CAPSTONE ABROAD PROGRAM
Designed
specifically for Capstone Scholars, the Capstone Abroad Program provides you
with a unique opportunity to travel abroad with a USC faculty member and other
Capstone Scholars, learning outside of the traditional classroom setting. By
participating in this study abroad experience, you will have the opportunity to
learn about historical events where they actually occurred, to observe a new
culture while traveling within it, and discover a range of artistic and
architectural treasures that will surround you – all while earning credit toward
your degree. This is a one-time only opportunity, as Capstone Scholars are only
eligible to take part in this experience during the Maymester following their
first year at USC. Sophomores are also eligible to apply.
All Capstone Abroad
Program offerings are two weeks in length and take place during the month of
May. Program destinations and course themes vary from year to year. Similarly,
program fees vary from location to location but include most travel expenses.
Additionally, every Capstone scholar will have the opportunity to compete for a
$2,000 Passport travel grant, which can be applied toward the cost of the
Capstone Abroad Program.
