Are You Ready for an Emergency?

Do you know what the students from Louisiana went through after Katrina in order to be able to attend classes during Fall 2005 and Spring 2006?  Are you prepared for an emergency while you are at school?  Bring your driver’s license, student ID, social security card, passport, and/or any other papers you think are important to have copies made.  You’ll walk away with a good start on being ready for an emergency.  Come to this workshop to find out what you need to know to be ready.  Presenter: Charlotte Helms

Health Does Matter in College

How much fluid do you need each day?  What do you need to stay healthy?  Your health makes a difference in the way you feel and also your performance in classes.  USC has many options for students and staff.  Come and learn about these options in this workshop.  Presenter: Charlotte Helms

Grad School Prep

The process of applying to Graduate School can be a daunting one.  Having a plan and being knowledgeable about the steps can simplify the process.  This workshop will focus on identifying and evaluating the resources that are available as well as the differentiating factors that make students stand-out in the pool of applicants.  Presenter: Omar Troutman

My Time

Time management and study skills are closely linked and to be a good studier you need to make the time to study.  This workshop will help students evaluate how they currently spend their time and what study strategies do and do not work for them.  This workshop is interactive with a hands-on approach and is an opportunity for students to share ideas with each other which have helped them be successful in the past.  Presenter: Omar Troutman
