Alcohol Policy Workshops
In accordance with the University of South Carolina Alcohol Policy, in order to for an organization or academic department to host an event on-campus where alcohol (beer, wine, distilled spirits) is to be served the following process must be followed:
1. Register to Attend an Alcohol Policy Workshop the month prior to your event.
Check back soon for an updated Fall 2012 schedule of workshops or contact the staff in SAPE to schedule a workshop. 803-777-5781
To register please send an email to sape@sc.edu with your Organization/Department name, the date you are requesting, and who will be in attendance at the workshop.
Student Organizations are required to have the President, Risk Management or Social Officer, and an Advisor (or House Corporation President for Greek organizations) must be present at the workshop.
2. Complete the Event Registration Form.
At the Alcohol Policy Workshop you will be given copies of the Event Registration Form, and Responsible Beverage Amount Guide, with instructions on proper completion of each form.
3. Return the Event Registration Form to the SAPE Office in Student Life. (Fax 803-777-4874; or Mail to 1400 Greene St RH #033A; or email to sape@sc.edu)
If your event is being hosted at an "unapproved location" the Event Registration Form MUST be received by the SAPE Office 10 business days in advance of the date of the event.
If your event is being hosted at an "approved location" the Event Registration Form MUST be received by the SAPE Office 5 business days in advance of the date of the event.

4. The following individuals MUST attend the Alcohol Policy Training Workshop:
- Student Organizations: President, Vice President and Faculty/Staff Advisor
- Greek Organizations: President, Risk Management and/or Social Chair, and House Corporation President
- Departments: individual submitting the request, and Department Chair/Head
