Maggie Leitch is the Coordinator for the Office of Substance Abuse Prevention and Education. She is responsible for advising the peer group that works alongside the SAPE Office, PEERS IMPACT 803. She also assists the Director with addressing and curbing high risk behaviors through educational programs and services. Maggie is a 2006 graduate of Colorado Christian University with a BA in Biblical Studies. She is also a graduate of the University of Mississippi where she received her Master’s in Higher Education and College Student Personnel. Maggie came to USC from Southern Illinois University Carbondale where she had been Hall Director in University Housing. She is excited to have the opportunity to focus on an area of interest and help students make healthier decisions when faced with alcohol and other drugs.
LaToya Raines, STIR Administrator

LaToya Raines is a STIR (Student Taking Initiative and Responsiblity) Administrator in The Office of Substance Abuse Prevention and Education. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University in May 2011 and is currently pursuing a Masters of Social Work degree in the College of Social Work. She is a distinguished lady of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. LaToya is excited to be at the University of South Carolina and looks forward to helping students make better decisions about alcohol and drug usage while reaching their full potential here at USC and beyond!

Chelsea Stephens is a first year Masters of Social Work student and is currently working Substance Abuse Prevention and Education as a STIR Administrator and Programming & Outreach Coordinator. Chelsea is a recent alumna of Southern Methodist University, where she received her bachelor's degrees in Pyschology and French, and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega. She hopes to help encourage the USC community to make informed and healthy decisions during their time at USC and form values that they will guide them through college and beyond.
Cassandra Staton, SAPE Student Assistant

Cassandra Staton is the Student Assistant for the Office of Substance Abuse Prevention and Education. She assists the Coordinator with researching, developing, and implementing education and prevention programs and services to effectively assist the USC Community in making low-risk decisions when faced with alcohol and other drugs. She is also responsible for communicating with parents, students, faculty and staff that inquire about services within the SAPE Office. Cassandra is currently a freshman Honors College student in the Business School and a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She hopes to increase the health and safety of her peers by using her student-perspective to enhance office programs and by serving as a campus role model.
