Prospective Students

Welcome!

Are you a student who has already been accepted or is currently enrolled in the University of South Carolina?
Do you happen to have a documented disability?
Do you want to register for disability accommodations through the Office of Student Disability Services?

You’ve come to the right place!

The staff of the Office of Student Disability Services at the University works with the student.  Federal law and University policies require this.  But most importantly, our desire to provide you with the best service during this time of transition requires this. Please visit Before We Get Started….

Student Registration Process

The registration process can take 2 or more weeks to complete, so the sooner you start, the better. Although parents and others may assist, students should complete the application themselves and must attend their OSDS Orientation.

Additional Information

  • Placement Testing: Many students with disabilities have the option of taking the Math and Foreign Language placement tests with extended time. In order to receive this accommodation, students must register with our office. While attendance at our mandatory orientation would not be necessary to receive testing accommodations, the student must still submit an Application for Services as well as the appropriate supporting documentation for review. After both items are reviewed, the student will be contacted regarding the appropriate accommodations for placement testing if requested.

  • Student Mail Service: The USC Student Mail Center strives to provide the most efficient and effective mail service to students.  View the brochure: (PDF) (Accessible Word Document)
