Student Comptroller Application
Selection Process
Applicants for Student Comptroller must turn in the required application by Monday, March 28, but selection is on a rolling basis. Successful applicants will be interviewed and approved by the Student Body Treasurer, Senate Finance Committee and Student Senate.
Student Comptroller Job Description
The Student Comptrollers 2011 – 2012 will serve as financial advisors to student organizations and to the executive cabinet.
Duties
- Read and understand the Student Government Finance Codes and be aware of any changes of the codes during their term
- Attend the Student Comptroller training session in April
- Meet with the Student Body Treasurer at least once a month
- Student Organizations: Student Comptrollers will be assigned a number of student organizations and serve as the Student Government liaison. Each comptroller’s responsibilities to each assigned organization are:
- Attend at least one meeting per semester
- Meet with the officer board before allocation periods
- Be available if any questions arise
- Executive Cabinet: Student Comptrollers will be assigned to a member of the executive cabinet and serve as the Treasurer’s liaison. Each comptroller’s responsibilities to the executive cabinet are:
- Attend executive cabinet committee meetings at least twice a semester
- Be available if any questions arise
