Pillars for Carolina is an extended orientation program for incoming first year students. The purpose of Pillars is to connect current and future leaders in the spirit of the University of South Carolina’s history and traditions while developing friendships in a fun environment. By providing participants with exposure to student life at USC before move-in day, Pillars will facilitate a successful transition from high school to college and provide a strong foundation for an exceptional college experience.
Mission: Promote spirit, leadership, and a community of involvement among members of the incoming freshman class in an effort to promote lifelong learning, respect, responsibility and service.
Vision: Create an exciting and engaging pre-college program that will provide a stronger foundation for a more successful freshman experience.
