Students that require health care may be seen at any local urgent care clinic or hospital emergency room.
Three area hospitals are located within a three-mile radius of the health center:

**The student health fee does not cover services received at any outside facility.
On-Campus Urgent Medical Calls
During fall and spring semesters, SHS Emergency Medical Technicians are on call 24/7 to respond to the scene of all campus 911 calls.
When you dial 911 from a campus land line, the USC Police Department receives your call. They dispatch the USC Police, Richland County EMS and the Student Health Services Emergency Medical Technician on call.

24/7 Sexual Assault/Violence
If you experience a sexual assault or violent situation and need the assistance of the Student Health Services, call the USC Police Department at 803-777-4215, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.
