Have you always wanted to run a 5K, but weren’t sure how to train for it?
Join Campus Wellness’ Gamecocks on the Move (GOTM) program—a free USC faculty, staff and student walking and running program that provides individuals with the resources and support to train for a 5K. This program is not a running club but an individualized, self-paced program to help prepare you mentally and physically for a 5K
During the Spring of 2014, GOTM will train for the April 26, 2014, Changing Carolina Peer Leaders (CCPL) 5K on campus.
GOTM will run/walk as a team during this race to promote physical activity and wellness.
Training for the 5K event will start on March 24, 2014 (5 weeks before the CCPL 5K on April 26th). Registration for the Spring 2014 training session will begin in February 2014.
GOTM participants can request a one on one coaching session with a Campus Wellness employee. Information about nutrition, proper footwear and injury prevention will be provided throughout the training period via email and through our NEW GOTM Facebook group for participants.
How to Participate

Stop by the Campus Wellness office at the Blatt PE Center between March 1-21, 2014 to pick up your pedometer. If you cannot make it to our office, we can send you the pedometer via inter-office mail. All training materials will be emailed to you once you register and will also be available through our NEW GOTM Facebook group. *If you participated in the Fall 2013 GOTM training, you still need to register again (you can receive a new pedometer, use the one from the Fall or purchase your own pedometer).
