Being physically active is extremely important to
one’soverall healthand well-being. It contributes to
lowering blood pressure and cholesterol, increases
flexibility, increases energy, supports immune
functioning, and is a key component to warding off
chronic healthproblems.
For the active-or active minded-check out the fun
programs offeredto faculty and staff that focus on
becoming physically active, as well as increasing/
maintaining your current level of physical activity.
Our
free services (blood pressure and body fat analysis) are also available

Exercise Consultations
Campus Wellness staff has
partnered with Campus Recreation to offer a Blatt P.E.
fitness center orientation for those interested in
learning about the fitness center or who want to become
more familiar with the equipment. To register for a one-on-one exercise consultation
simply print, complete, and fax the form below. A staff
member will contact you within 24 hours.

U-Walk
14-week
self-paced competition where participants select a featured college or
university to walk to, and log steps that will gain mileage toward
reaching the participating college or university of their choice. Once
the participant reaches their college/university, they will receive a
t-shirt from that college/university. All participants receive a free
pedometer!

Fall 2009 Tracking Form
Walking Works
Walking Works is a six-week program that lets you
determine your team, schedule, and level of involvement.
Teams of two and four will compete over the course of
six weeks to earn points towards incentives offered from
the Campus Wellness office.

Campus Wellness office in the Blatt PE Center.

B.L.A.S.T. (Breaktime, lunchtime, anytime strength training)
Dyna-Bands are stretchy latex strips which you pull
or push to help you strengthen your muscles, improve
endurance, range of motion, flexibility, and reduce
stress. You can a do a full body strength training
routine without leaving your office. Dyna-Bands are
available in four different resistance levels: beginner
(pink), intermediate (green), advanced (purple), and
super-advanced (grey).
Group instruction will take place at your desired
time and location. Please fill out the form below with a
date, time, and number of staff attending. A minimum of
six participants are required to host a workshop. All
participants will be asked to sign a waiver prior to
participating.
