Physical Activity Programs

According to the 2006 USC National College Health Assessment, 24.2% of our students do not participate in any vigorous exercise in a given week and 37.1% of students do not exercise to strengthen their muscles.

In response to this, we offer our students a comprehensive exercise consultation.

Exercise Consultations
These consultations happen in two parts and can be done in a one-on-one or group format.

Part I of the consultation is facilitated by Campus Wellness and includes:

  • tips and strategies to help you make your workout more effective, safe, and fun
  • fitting a comprehensive and efficient workout into your busy schedule
  • the importance of incorporating all three types of exercise: strength training, cardiovascular, and stretching
Part II of the consultation is facilitated by our partners in Campus Recreation and includes:
  • a weight room orientation on-site
  • assistance with planning a strength-training workout that is balanced and demonstrates proper use of the equipment.
