If here 30 minutes or less, customers get free parking in the adjacent Bull Street parking garage. Just present your pharmacy receipt to the garage attendant.
The pharmacy provides professional, confidential, and economical prescription service to students, faculty and staff at competitive prices.
We fill prescriptions from outside physicians and bill your insurance company for you.
Payment
Prescriptions are to be paid for when they are filled. In addition to taking payment from insurance, we take cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and the Carolina Card. Please discuss deferred payment options with your pharmacist prior to processing the prescription if you cannot pay at the time of service.
Insurance
The pharmacy processes most prescription insurance claims. Some insurance cards provide only medical coverage and may require a separate card for pharmacy coverage. Check with your insurance company about this and be sure to bring in your current card. We accept Pearce & Pearce (the student health insurance) AETNA, Anthem, Argus, Caremark, Catalyst, Cigna, Companion, Express Scripts, Medco, Tricare, Pharmacare, Restat, PSC and the SC Stare Health Plan prescription cards. Some plan exclusions will apply.
Refills
Use MyRxSpace to place refills online, or call 803-777-4890. You can order refills at any time. If you order during normal business hours, you can for pick-up your refill within a few hours. If you order after hours, you can pick-up your refill the next business day.
Transferring Prescriptions
The pharmacy can fill prescriptions written by doctors outside of the health center, in or out of state. Please provide the prescription number on your label and the phone number of the pharmacy you wish us to call. You may bring in the original prescription, or have your physician telephone or fax your prescription to us.
Over-the-Counter Items
The pharmacy has a variety of products, including pain relievers, cough medicines, nasal decongestants, stomach medications and hygiene products.
