Sexual Health and Violence Prevention
Sexual Health & Violence Prevention
offers highly visible, convenient, and accessible
programs and services which enable students to live at
high levels or wellness and live in an environment which
is safe to achieve their academic goals and aspirations.
In order to attain this mission, we design our programs
and services to create a balance of physical, emotional,
social, intellectual, spiritual and sexual health that
encourages students to respect the dignity and rights of
others, while developing a strong sense of their
personal self-esteem and development. Areas of emphasis
include but are not limited to building healthy
relationships, developing communication skills, reducing
interpersonal violence, and promoting sexual health.
We
provide a range of services for students on issues surrounding sexual
health, sexual assault, relationship violence and hate crimes. 24-Hour
Crisis Assistance is also available by calling the USC Police
Department dispatcher at (803) 777-4215. The dispatcher can put you in
contact with the on-call advocate from Sexual Health & Violence
Prevention.
