All Columbia campus students enrolled in at least one
(1) credit hour in a degree program are eligible for
care at Thomson Student Health Center (TSHC) and the
Counseling and Human Development Center (CHDC). Spouses
of eligible students may be seen on a space available
basis.
Continuing students, i.e. students who are between
academic periods, retain eligibility for care under
continuation of care rules. For example, Fall students
who will be returning for Spring semester are eligible
for care over the Winter Break period. Spring semester
students who are not attending Summer session, but will
return in the Fall, are eligible for care during the
summer.
Students with eligibility questions, or those
participating in atypical academic programs, such as
co-op students or graduate students in special research
programs, may contact the health center Business office
(777-3174) for clarification.
Eligibility for care, except for limited follow-up care
directed by a Student Health Services provider,
terminates upon withdrawal or dismissal
from the University.
