Mike chose a career in College Health because he
feels that medicine is a challenge, regardless
of your practice situation. However, the college
campus is a very unique and exciting setting
with a wide variety of health issues from
virtually all over the globe. He strives to
deliver excellent quality health care as well as
proved guidance where needed and wanted. Mike
also hopes to make the transition into adulthood
a little easier for the students. In Mike’s
spare time, he enjoys running, landscaping,
movies, volunteering at church, the beach, and

his spare time, Dilip enjoys traveling and

Pat is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
Pat says that she chose College Health as a
career because she enjoys working with that
particular age group. She feels that most
students are open to suggestions for leading a
healthier lifestyle. In her spare time, she
enjoys spending time with her family, especially
at the beach. |

Eric brings more than 20 years experience
practicing obstetrics and gynecology. Dr.
Spotts completed medical school at Michigan
State University and his Internship and
Residency at Vanderbilt University. He has
a strong interest in preventative and primary
health care. |

Gaye has been working at the Thomson Student
Health Center for 18 years, and has also had
experience in the emergency room and in the
juvenile correctional system. She received both
her BSN and her MSN here at USC. She loves to
work with college students because of the
opportunity to positively influence their health
for a lifetime -- plus, they're fun, energetic,
and interested in learning about good health
behavior. Gaye loves to travel, read (especially
thrillers and science fiction), play the piano,
attend auctions, and has a particular interest
in body art. She loves Gamecock sports --
especially football. |

Angela received her BSN, and Masters of Nursing,
as well as a Post-Graduate Certificate in
Primary Care Nursing, and has a very special
interest in young adult and adolescent health.
She feels that her career gives her a great
opportunity to impact the health of a younger
population, as well as excellent teaching
opportunities to educate young adults about
making healthy choices and lifestyle changes to
impact their health for a lifetime. In her spare
time, Angela likes to go boating, exercise, and
spend time with her family. |

family and also enjoys bicycling, kayaking,

health care system and how to utilize it

Maliha Khan, MD

Dr. Khan brings a wealth of prevention and clinical knowledge through her experience as the Medical Director of the Department of Health in St. Lucie County, Florida and as Pediatrician at Pediatric Health Care Associates in Massachusetts. Dr. Khan is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She completed medical school at the University of Karachi and her residency at the Nassau County Medical Center in New York. She gives volunteer lectures to nonprofit health organizations on heart disease prevention, smoking cessation, and others.
