The Academic Coaching & Engagement (ACE) program offers all undergraduate students at the University an opportunity to learn and apply the skills needed to be successful in college.  ACE coaches meet one-on-one with undergraduate students to create an academic and engagement plan, set goals, and share resources to help undergraduate students achieve their academic goals within and beyond the classroom environment. Our coaches tailor each session to the needs of the student, however, areas of focus for any appointment could include a variety of topical areas such as:

  • Basic study skills
  • Concentration
  • Note-taking
  • Exam preparation
  • Time management
  • Learning styles
  • So Much More!

What ACE participants have to say…

“ACE coaching has really helped me and improved my performance at USC!”

“Although I was required to come to this meeting for a class, it was the most helpful thing I have done for my study skills since I came to USC. I will definitely be back to discuss any other problems with my study habits.”

“I appreciated that fact that he allowed me to determine what we talked about and how the meeting went as opposed to him doing all of the talking.”

“(My ACE Coach) was very helpful and answered all of my questions, as well as gave me great advice and information. (My ACE Coach) made sure to not make this feel like a classroom, but more of a simple conversation.”

“Wonderful appointments and time taken to set myself in the right direction. ACE has helped me to improve my grades within my classes taken at USC.”

“My ACE coach was very understanding of my needs and helped me create a realistic plan for success.”
