Withdrawing from the University of South Carolina

Thinking of taking a break or completely withdrawing from school?  Not sure of other options or the future implications of your decision?

The Student Success Center is committed to helping students succeed at USC. However, if a student is considering withdrawing from school, we are also here to help create a plan of action to stay or transition out of school. For more information, please consult the appropriate section below.

Information for Students

To receive help withdrawing from USC, students should schedule a one-on-one consultation with our our Coordinator of Withdrawal.  Meetings can be held in-person or by phone.  During the meeting, the student will received an USC Withdrawal Checklist.  Before you finalize your decision, call (803) 777-1000 to schedule an appointment or send an email to LaTashaMartin@sc.edu.

Information for Faculty & Staff

If a student expresses interest in withdrawing from USC, faculty, instructors, and staff are encouraged to make a referral to the Student Success Center.  The Coordinator of Withdrawal will meet with the student to review withdrawal options.
