Free tutoring is offered by Tau Beta Pi, the National Engineering Honor Society. Tutoring is provided on a limited basis (one hour a week) to USC engineering undergraduate students. To set up an appointment with a tutor, please e-mail tbp@engr.sc.edu.

Ted W. Mimms Foreign Language Learning Center, located in Humanities Classroom Building Room 101, provides a variety of materials such as CDs, audio and video recordings, and computer technology to assist undergraduate students in their foreign language studies and instruction at the University of South Carolina. The Logic Lab, located in Humanities Classroom 401, is equipped with computers and is staffed by faculty ready to assist undergraduate students with questions. Call (803) 777-1610 for specific times and dates of operation.

The CAPA Room is located in the Jones Physical Science building, room 208. Faculty and graduate students are on hand to assist undergraduate students with their homework. If an undergraduate student’s session time does not work for them, they may attend another session time. All session times are posted on the room door.

The Statistics Help Center provides free tutoring for students seeking assistance with Statistics 110 and 201. It is located in LeConte room 215a. The Help Center accepts drop-ins only.

The Writing Center, located in Humanities Classroom Building Room 014, helps undergraduate students with various stages of the writing process, including: brainstorming ideas for papers; formulating theses; organizing ideas; structuring arguments; identifying recurring mistakes in standard punctuation, grammar, and usage; and revising drafts. Appointments are recommended. Satellite locations are in the Bates House, Columbia Hall and Sims ACEs, as well as the Thomas Cooper Library.
