A smart schedule begins with smart advising. Your advisor is a valuable resource in deciding which classes will maximize the benefits of your sophomore year workload. However, the advising process is an ongoing journey that begins with making the correct decisions and ultimately choosing the path you wish to take. The tips and link below serve as a stepping stone for smart scheduling and an enjoyable relationship with your advisor.

Early Semester: Middle Semester: Late Semester:
  • Write all assignments and due dates on your TSI Planner
  • Keep up with your reading
  • Do not be afraid to ask questions or for help from professors, TAs, a tutor, or the Student Success Center
  • Make study guides and/or group for your midterms, they will also help you with your finals
  • Assess your approximate grades/level of success in your classes to asses how your study/work habits may need to change

 
  • Do not give up or slack off now! Finals often carry great weight on your grades and can make huge difference, maybe even a letter grade.
