The 21st Annual First-Year Reading Experience will be Monday, August 18, in the Carolina Coliseum. During summer orientation, students are provided with a copy of “The Circle” by Dave Eggers, which includes a reader’s guide. All first-year students will gather at the Carolina Coliseum at 8:30 a.m., and Dr. Helen Doerpinghaus, Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Studies, will provide welcoming remarks. This year’s keynote speaker is the author of “The Circle”, Dave Eggers. Following the speaker, students will participate in small group discussions of the text.
