2007 Outstanding Woman of the Year at USC - Jilian Rinehart
On Monday, March 19th the Outstanding Woman of the Year was announced at the Outstanding Women at USC Celebration. This award was established to recognize undergraduate women for their academic, service, leadership, and co-curricular accomplishments. This year's award recipient is Jilian Rinehart.
Jilian is a senior biology major in the University of South Carolina's Honor's College. She is a Palmetto Fellow, University Scholar, National Deans List honoree, and member of several honor societies including Omicron Delta Kappa, Alpha Epsilon Delta, and Pi Mu Epsilon. Jilian has immersed herself in the Carolina experience by obtaining leadership roles in Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, Hillel Jewish Student Organization, University 101 program, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is compassionate and committed individual, which is evident through her leadership in the Carolina Service Council, Dance Marathon, Carolina Clemson Blood, and volunteer experience at local non-profits. In order to prepare for medical school, Jilian has completed shadowing experiences with several doctors, undergraduate research in immunology, and often volunteers at local hospitals. In her free time, Jilian enjoys dancing ballet, jazz, and modern dance.
