As a University Ambassador for the past four years, Brooke Carroll has fielded questions about everything from balancing classwork to choosing housing. And her biggest message to prospective students and their families on tour: “You will have every opportunity here. And there will be so many people here behind you to help you be whatever you want to be.”


This week USC wraps up its summer orientation after welcoming the class of 2017. It’s the university’s orientation leaders, though, that make the official welcome a success.

“Orientation always has a strong student leadership component,” says Bethany Naser director of USC’s Orientationa and Testing Services. “Students are really paramount to what we’re doing. They’re the framework. Orientation cannot happen without student leaders.”
