National Panhellenic Council
The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) is the umbrella group for 26 organizations, 13 of which have chapters on South Carolina’s campus. The purpose of NPC is to be the “premier advocacy and support organization for the advancement of the sorority experience”. At South Carolina, the National Panhellenic Council is the subset campus organization that supports the Panhellenic chapters on our campus. The National Panhellenic Council has seven elected executive members to act as liaisons between the university and chapter members to create legislation, support recruitment of members, promote academic excellence, create educational programming and more. The council meets weekly with one representative from each Panhellenic chapter to collaborate and have open discussion about current issues.

National Pan-Hellenic Council
The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is the umbrella organization for nine fraternities and sororities, 8 of which have chapters on South Carolina’s campus. The National Pan-Hellenic Council at South Carolina currently has two co-presidents who work with chapter presidents to create events, discuss current issues, and to support intake efforts.

The Intefraternity Council (IFC) is the umbrella group for 96 organizations, 21 of which have chapters on South Carolina’s campus. IFC has seven elected executive officers who hold weekly meetings with chapter presidents to create events, discuss current issues, and to support recruitment efforts.

Multicultural Greek Council
The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is the umbrella group for our cultural-based organizations. We currently have 5 chapters on South Carolina’s campus. MGC has seven executive officers who plan service events, set chapter standards, discuss current issues, and more.
