Bethany Naser

Director of New Student Orientation

About Bethany…

Bethany earned a bachelor’s in psychology/speech communications and a master’s in higher education administration with a specialization in student affairs from Texas A&M University. After completing her graduate studies at Texas A&M, Bethany worked in the new student programming areas at both Southern Methodist University and the University of North Texas.

Over the past 10 years, Bethany has built a career focused on first-year and sophomore experience programming, tradition/transition camps, college student adjustment, leader training and development and social justice education. Highly involved in the National Orientation Directors Association (NODA), Bethany has held numerous leadership roles including co-hosting the association’s annual conference in 2011.

At Georgia Tech Bethany served as assistant dean of students and director of new student and sophomore programs. In this role, Bethany provided strategic oversight and leadership to a comprehensive transition program. She expanded the office to increase institutional focus on second-year students, implemented an extended orientation experience (Wreck Camp) and enhanced the office’s student leadership development programs.

Outside of her professional interests and involvements, Bethany enjoys college football, the performing arts, spending time with family and friends and exploring new places and restaurants.



Jourdan Harmon





About Jourdan…

Jourdan is originally from Pensacola, FL where she grew up with a big family including a twin brother. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management and a certificate in Leadership Studies at Florida State University. During undergrad she was involved in Homecoming, Dance Marathon, and Orientation. She moved to Columbia, SC to join the Office of New Student Orientation as the graduate assistant while pursuing a master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs at the University of South Carolina.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends & family, going to the beach, watching FSU football, and traveling to new places.


Jennifer Pizzolongo

Office Manager

About Jen…

Jenn is originally from Pearl River, NY. She comes from a very Italian and Hawaiian family. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Management and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Winthrop University. While she was at Winthrop she was involved in Chi Omega, Student alumni council, peer mentoring and orientation.  After graduation, she  joined the housing staff at USC. During her 4 years in that department Jenn started teaching University 101.

In her free time she enjoys watching Yankees baseb
all, Gamecocks football and Giants football.  She enjoys spending time with friends/family, shopping, traveling, cooking/baking, reading and the beach.


Grace Sullivan

Graduate Assistant


About Grace…

Grace grew up in the redwoods of central California. In 2010, she began attending Guilford College in Greensboro, NC, where she double majored in Mathematics and Religion. During her undergraduate career, she also participated in the Honors Program, worked in the office of Admission, interned in Campus Life, and worked as an Orientation Leader and Team Leader. After graduating, Grace continued her work in the Guilford College Office of Admission as a full-time Admission Counselor. She began pursuing her master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs at the University of South Carolina in August 2016, also joining the Office of New Student Orientation staff at this time.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking, baking (especially apple pies), making corny jokes, traveling and spending time with friends.
