Student Government is launching an innovative program called Gamecock REACH that provides a peer listening resource for students who are struggling with their mental health. We envision a student population that is happy, filled with empathy and compassion, and unafraid to seek help when they need it. Gamecock REACH will strive to be there for students through the efforts of passionate and dedicated Peer Listeners. It is an anonymous service that is staffed by students who go through a rigorous selection and training process in order to provide emotional support.
We are currently looking for volunteers to be Peer Listeners in our program. Participating in this program would give volunteers the opportunity to make a difference in the USC community as well as develop interpersonal skills necessary for any career.
