Interested in running for a position in Student Government?

Whether it be running for office or being behind the scenes, we want you to help “Spur The Vote”! If you have questions or would like more information, please reach out to the Elections Commission at saec@mailbox.sc.edu.

Executive Positions:
Student Body President
Vice President
Speaker of the Senate

Senate Positions:
The 50-member Student Senate is divided into districts, represented by academic colleges.
Candidates campaign to represent a particular college and only run against others within the same college.
The number of seats is divided as follows:

If you’re running for a position in Student Government, make sure you read through the Candidate Information Packet for everything that is required of you for the upcoming elections. Whether it’s important events you need to know or rules you need to follow, this packet will be an asset during your elections process.
