Personalized nutrition plans available to students, faculty and staff. No charge for full-time students. Part-time students, faculty and staff may be seen for a fee.
Appointments are scheduled Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and are for students referred by their providers for medical reasons such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, food sensitivities/food allergy, eating disorders, weight reduction, or Vegetarian-style meal plans. Initial appointments are one hour and follow-ups are 30 minutes. On your first visit, please bring a completed food record form with you. Group sessions are taught by a registered dietitian nutritionist and are for those who want to learn how to eat healthy now that you’re on your own. Each class will cover using myplate as a guide to include all food groups, myplate options recommended at Carolina Food Company venues, and food to have ready for snacks in your mini fridge. Registered dietitians are located in the Healthy Campus Initiatives department on the lowest level of the Center for Wellbeing, between Thomson Building and the Thomas Cooper library.
