As a member of the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (OMSA) team, Lashawna Wright oversees the first-year Multicultural Assistance Peer Program (MAPP), recruits and trains mentors for first year students, and develops cultural awareness programming for cultural heritage month celebrations and educational programs for the student population. Lashawna also advises student organizations, serving as a role model, mentor, and student advocate.
In her previous role as the Assistant Director of Student Involvement & Multicultural Programs at Presbyterian College, Lashawna advised the Multicultural Student Union and LGBTQ+ organizations, served as the campus resource for issues related to multiculturalism and cultivated opportunities for student development.
Lashawna earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western New England University and a Master of Education in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education from Springfield College.
Lashawna is a proud Jamaican and loves to indulge in foods from all over the world. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and she loves anything stylish and fashionable and all natural hair tips and tricks.
