As the assistant to the associate vice president, Megan Denny serves as the financial advisor for all student organizations, manages interfaith initiatives on-campus and develops special projects for the Department of Student Life.
Megan joined Student Life in January 2016 after previously working in University Housing at the University of South Carolina from 2012-2015 as the residence life coordinator for Patterson Hall.
At Carolina, she teaches University 101 and is a member of the Community Education Team for the Carolina Women’s Community and Professional Development Team. She also serves as a mentor in the Women’s Mentor Network.
Megan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida Gulf Coast University and a Master of Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina.
In her free time, Megan gives presentations around the nation to Greek organizations on leadership and member accountability. She is an active alumna of Delta Delta Delta. Born and raised in Florida, she loves Columbia’s “Famously Hot” weather. She enjoys traveling, going to the beach and a warm cup of coffee with a good book.
