The Time for Change Research Project
The Time for Change Research Project is an one year grant designed to address crime in hospitality districts frequented by USC students. The project is being conducted through the collaboration of the USC Department of Student Life, the Carolina Community Coalition, the Department of Public Health, the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, and the Substance Abuse Prevention and Education Office. The goal of the study is to develop recommendations for a comprehensive strategy grounded in an understanding of environmental and structural risk factors and evidence-based solutions to improve safety in Columbia’s hospitality districts.
