Carolina Fraternity and Sorority Life is home to over 4,000 students, which makes up over 21% of the student population. 39 Greek organizations, falling under the national umbrella organizations of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC), National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), National Latin American Organizations (NALFO), and the National Multicultural Greek Council, are represented on our campus. At Carolina, our groups are represented by 2 councils: Fraternity Council for the men’s groups and Sorority Council for the women’s groups.
The executive officers elected to Fraternity Council represent the large fraternity population here at Carolina. Fraternity Council comes together weekly with chapter presidents and delegates from each chapter to share information and discuss hot topic issues. Council meetings are held Monday afternoons at 5:30 PM in Russell House.

Sorority Council meets on a weekly basis with chapter presidents and delegates from each of the Carolina sororities. These meetings provide time for chapter leaders to share announcements and to discuss community-wide events. Sorority Council meetings are held Monday evenings at 5:30 in the Russell House Senate Chambers
