UIFI Scholarships

Each year, the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and Fraternity and Sorority Council sponsor scholarships to attend the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute, a 4 day leadership school for Greeks held on the Indiana University campus.  This 20+ year old leadership school has been a life changing experience for many of our fraternity and sorority members.  During your four days you will live with 50 other Greeks (half fraternity and half sorority) in a sorority house where you will explore your personal values and leadership styles.  You will also gain great insight into how students go about being Greek across America.

For more information, including the 11 session dates go to http://www.nicindy.org/programs/UIFI/participantinfo.php.

The scholarship covers all of your costs (housing and meals) while at UIFI (valued at $450) and provides a $300 travel voucher for transportation to Bloomington, Indiana (home of Indiana University).

Past USC participants have said:

“The biggest thing that I got from it was how all of the group and small group discussions reaffirmed why I love being in a Greek organization and the importance of ritual and trying to live it every day. It was so neat to be surrounded by people who had the same passion about Greek Life as I did and it made it all the more fun. thank you for helping make this wonderful experience possible with the council scholarship. It truly was one of the best weeks of my life and I learned so many things that I can apply to our Greek Community.”

The deadline to nominate someone and apply for UIFI has passed. Please check back in spring 2014.
