Welcome to the
University of South Carolina family! Your student is embarking on a
wonderful journey into adulthood and will have many exciting
experiences along the way at Carolina.
In recognition of
the critical role that parents play in their students college
success, the Office of Parents Programs strives to foster positive
relationships with parents of Carolina students. By serving as a
centralized resource, the office is a true liaison between parents
and the University. Through communication, events, partnership and
development, our sole mission is to work with parents to ensure
their students success. This relationship begins the day your
student chooses Carolina.
The Office of
Parents Programs is committed to providing support to you throughout
your students undergraduate experience. Our online resources will
help you encourage your student and become more involved in his or
her life on campus. If you need help at any time, the toll-free
Parents Assistance Line (1-800-868-6752) is available for direct
contact to us. In addition, please send an e-mail to
scparents@sc.edu with any questions
or feedback. Sign up for the
dues-free
Parents Association to make
sure you receive important information and updates on University
happenings.
We hope you'll take
full advantage of the services and resources that the Office of
Parents Programs provides. We are your link to the University, and
we welcome your feedback. Best of luck to you and your student this
year, and we look forward to seeing you on campus!
USC's new Emergency
Notification System
A new
Emergency Notification System has been developed to more
successfully reach students, faculty, and staff during an emergency.
Under the new system, SMS/text and voice messages will be sent to
the cell phone numbers provided by students, faculty, and staff
through VIP, as well as to
e-mail addresses, and land-line numbers. The system was installed as
part of ongoing efforts to improve safety measures on campus. For
more information about this system click
